I notice some incongruencies of NAV-Data that seem to be responsible for failures of some of my approaches. E.g. flying the Boeing 747-800i to PAFA (Fairbanks) RWY 2L: The FMC was perfectly programmed with a STAR approach LIBER, into GLOWS – CILAX – CACHE – RW 02L, altitude constraints corresponding exactly the ones given by the airport chart (Jeppeson). However, the plane flying on the correct FL simply did not catch the Localizer! Did I do anything wrong? Or do some of the airports do not interact correctly with some of the planes in X-Plane 11? I would be grateful for an advice! I am still a beginner, but on many occasions I did manage to get the airliner precisely on the Runway.

Hi Christian,

While our aim is to make X-Plane as close to the real world as possible, there are some times when X-Plane lags behind. For example, we are aware of a lot of issues with the nav data not matching the airports in X-Plane, especially if runway numbering has changed over the years in the real world but not been updated in the sim. It could be you encountered a mis-match situation like this.
