I need to fire up steam version of X-plane 11 from command line in order to be able to alter command line with args... (for example to do some benchmarks)

I didn't found any help on this matter on Internet and all my tries remain unsuccessfull (directly or with steamCMD... - cannot find wich command start a game...)

I'm running Ubuntu.

gigi@gigi-Sky-X4E2G:~/steam$ uname -a
Linux gigi-Sky-X4E2G 4.10.0-19-generic #21-Ubuntu SMP Thu Apr 6 17:04:57 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Is there a way to do it?

Thank you.

An article on using X-Plane command line options is available here. It is a little old and references X-Plane 10, and may not work with Steam installs as it was based on the version available at X-Plane.com that does not have Steam DRM.

Thank you jroberts, actually this shouldn't be accepted as a answer. Steam doesn't allow me to fire up Xplane from cli... and this is my concern. Steam ask to fire Xplane from its GUI and that's the matter. Even starting Steam and try to start Xplane from CLI is not allowed (message; "Xplane has to be started from steam...")
