I am currently making a programming project, and it includes x-plane, but I found a significant obstacle. I need to, know what Game Engine or Rendering Engine X Plane is using, whether that be Direct X or Open GL. And If there is a way to force use one of them (preferably direct x) it would be amazing.

X-Plane uses Open GL as the rendering engine.  The gaming engine is our own

Can I force using Direct X?

I'm not related to Laminar, but the short answer would be no.
