In the manual it states when installing the dvds it should take between 30 and 60 minutes per disk. However, mine takes no more than 10. Also, it only installs from disk 1 to 6 before stopping and saying x-plane is ready to run. There are 8 disks. I have now tried to install it four times. I only managed to get it working one time but the next morning, when I went to load it up, it managed to get to the main menu but when I tried to load any flight it would glitch and say x-plane is not responding. Now when I try to load it up,

it fails to even get to the main menu before it glitches and again says x-plane is not responding. I have attached my log.txt

Thank you for your help. If this doesn't fix it , would I have the same problems with a digital download? Thanks again.

How many discs and how long it takes to install depends on how much scenery you tried to install. We recommend not starting with the entire world as it can take a long time to complete the install, so if you picked less than the full world it might just be due to that.

Did you happen to try the demo before purchasing the DVDs? Looking at your log, it appears that your computer may only barely meet the recommended hardware specifications. For example, the GPU listed is Intel(R) HD Graphics 2500 which was released in 2012.

I would recommend going to the main X-Plane folder, then to the Output folder, and moving or deleting the entire preferences folder. That will put you back to all defaults. If that allows you to get the sim started, please try to skip the opening tutorial sequence and go straight to the main menu to access the settings. Try setting all the graphics options to their minimums.

Otherwise, if your computer doesn't meet the system requirements, please contact customer support at [email protected] about a return or exchange.

Yes, the DVD set installs the exact same sim as the digital download. The only difference is the method by which it is installed & unlocked from demo mode.

The demo performs exactly the same as the full sim as well, just with time & scenery restrictions.
