Disk 2 on x-plane 11 will not install

Question

Hi. i purchased x-plane 11, i cannot get further than disk one. when i place disk 2 into my cd/dvd drive nothing happens. I have tried everything apart from buying a new dvd drive. I have googled this issue and it seems to be a major problem. Can you please advise me how to overcome this issue, as it was not cheap to buy and its just lying on my desk gathering dust.

Do you have a key? If yes then download an image, install and use your key.

No i dont have a key, it the box set of dvds. as i said in first comment the issue with disk 2 seems to be a underlying problem with a lot of people who have purchased x-plane 11. I need a solution to the issue as i cant get it installed to use it ?
