Why is my act window not popping up when I click the symbol?

I have X-Plane 11 and the act window will not pop up. When I click the symbol, a window for typing appears. What do I do?

Hi, what is the act symbol? Do you mean aircraft?

I would try and delete (or move for backup) the entire ...\X-plane 11\Output\preferences folder. You will lose all your settings but it will be almost like starting a brand new install. This is often the magic trick to solve bugs.
