I just bought X-Plane on steam. I downloaded the installer and updated to the 11.10b Beta and it's asking for a product key/activation, where may I find this?

Hi,

You probably received an email.

Don't forget to check your spasms.  For more support, contact Steam directly.

No offence but I still don't understand why people buy x-plane on Steam :

Also, you should be aware that troubleshooting x-plane is more difficult when you have Steam in between. You have one more independent developer involved.

Ummm...No. Steam doesn't show product keys unless the developer enables it, It would be better if someone somewhere can tell me how re-activate my steam version of X-Plane 11, either that be giving my key....or telling me how. (I already sent a support ticket, its going too take days to reply).

Ah.. I got it. You don't need to download the installer if you bought X-plane on Steam. Steam does all that automatically.

-Open Steam

-Go to Library tab

-on the left list, click on X-plane

If you right click on X-plane the properties, you have more options like "keep the game up to date"; "allow beta versions etc"...

So you just need to be logged onto your Steam account in Steam application. Steam application can be doanloaded here :
