I upgraded from 11.05 to 11.10 recently and tried out the new user multiple profiles for settings on the joystick, keyboard and  views using different aircraft  Have to say, I am loving this feature.
Just one question, How can we save the user profiles/preferences if we have to occasionally troubleshoot the program (frame rates, add-ons mods etc.).  I see a lot of solutions in the past were to Delete>Output>Preferences file to correct some problems. These multiple joystick and keyboard settings take a lot of time to setup. I would sure hate to start all over again.

You can also rename the folder or move it somewhere else temporarily, like the desktop, to get default prefs for troubleshooting. Then put it back the way it was to restore the original preferences.
