Horrible engine sound after update

Question

For some reason after the latest update, the sound of the engines in the baron and C22 are horrible. Other than full power the sound changes from a smooth rumble to the sound of a box of metal parts being shaken! The sounds used to be wonderful - what happened?

I haven't noticed this or heard any other complaints about their sounds. Remove any add ons as they could be affecting it. Then run the installer and pick the option to update and it should check for missing or modified sound files & fix them.

ETA: Only use the X-Plane installer if you do not run the sim through Steam. For Steam you will want to use the option to Verify Integrity of Game Files.
