Hello,

I am using ubuntu 16.04 LTS
16 gb memory
intel i7
hd graphics 620
64bit

When I originally installed x-plane 11 it worked perfectly.  Now when I try to run or install it again nothing happens except it generates a file called: X-Plane Installer Log.txt

Here is what the file looks like....

Installer log.txt for X-Plane Installer 4.03r2 compiled on Oct 31 2017 10:50:20
Installer started on Sun Feb 18 11:23:54 2018
This log file is generated automatically by Laminar Research applications and contains diagnostics about your graphics hardware, installation, and any error conditions.
If you need to contact tech support or file a bug, please send us this file. NOTE: this file is rewritten every time you start ANY of your X-System applications.

I haven't changed anything on my computer at all.  All other programs execute fine.

Thanks

It sounds like you are running the Installer program, instead of the X-Plane program. While you can run X-Plane via the installer, you can also run X-Plane by finding the install folder (should be on the desktop by default) and double clicking on the X-Plane program inside.
