X-Plane 11  installer crashes right at start up. Based on the log file, can you tell me what's the limiting factor of my PC?

Hi Jay,

I am not with Laminar Research; just a flight simmer who is not a computer "geek".

Have a look at the following link at http://www.x-plane.com/kb/x-plane-11-system-requirements/  The current trend to get best benefit, especially frame rates, computers are built around the recommended specifications and the CPU is then tweeked (overclocked).

Your log file tells me the CPU speed is 1.7 GHz which is well under the minimum requirement.  Not knowing about graphics cards the existing card may be below par as well.

Not knowing the age of your PC my thoughts are you could consider using your existing computer for general use and acquire a more suitable unit for flight simulation.  Should you decide to go that way, go for an Nvidia card installed in a windows based PC that is built for "gaming".

Even if you backtracked to X-Plane 10 you would still have troubles.

Good luck.

Glenn
