Why can't I see task bars, menus, drop downs on my new 4K toshiba?

Question

installed the digital down load on a brand new toshiba 4K laptop and everything is SMALL. So SMALL you can't navigate through the game. I guessed during the installation, I made it to the keys, so I figured I had done everything right. Already tried numerous times adjusting the res. Doesn't work. Talked with toshiba, they thought it was probably a settings issue in xplane....which I can't access. I need help. I wanna play this, I wanna learn it more importantly.  The comp meets all the requirements. Thx.

Hi Brit,

Changing the screen res is the only thing that would help in X-Plane. Try running at 1080p. You'll get faster fps, bigger text and in the saved GPU you can turn up the anti-aliasing.
