Can you use airplanes, scenery and airports purchased for X-Plane 10 in the new X-Plane 11 program? I tried to move the 787 Dreamliner I purchased for 10 to the new aircraft folder for 11 would not work wondering if I need to do something different to make it work.

Great news, Happy flying.  Also Scenery from X-Plane 10 will work on X-plane 11. But in some instances the scenery may not look correct, IE. In some sceneries the runways are not flat and buildings stickup in the air. There is a fix for this, but you need knowledge of WED.

Regards.

Hi.

To get your B787 to work in X-Plane 11. You need to update the GPS Unit to the Garmin_430.

Here is the process to do this.

MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A COPY BEFORE DOING ANYTHING, MAKE SURE YOU USE PLANE MAKER FOR X-PLANE 10 . IF YOU DO THIS IN PLANE MAKER 11 AND YOU HAVE NOT MADE A COPY YOUR AIRCRAFT WILL NOT WORK IN X-PLANE 11 OR X-PLANE 10

1. Duplicate your 787 folder (if you bought the 787 as a package you would have 3 aircraft)

2. Open Plane Maker X-Plane 10

3. From the Menu, Select File/Open then select one of the 787.acf files

4. From the Menu, Select Standard/panel:2D

5.There is a Black Box left of centre next to the ALT and Time instrument gauges, click in this box, when highlighted press Delete. This is the old GPS unit

6. At the left hand side you will see the Instrument list. Press the arrow next to Radios, then press the arrow next to GPS FMS.

7. Select Garmin_430.png and Drag this to the black box area where you previously deleted the other GPS Unit place it in the centre of the Black Box.

8. At the bottom of the screen where it says Size  click on the 1.00 and change the size to be .95.

9. Click the button next to where it says Copilot.

10. Press the arrow at the top left where it says Instrument List.

11. Select File/Save As and then select the 787.acf and then press the Save Aircraft button.

12. Select File/Quit a box will come up press Save. Plane maker will now close.

13. Go to the Duplicate 787 folder and then copy the folder of the 787 that you have just modified and paste this folder into the Aircraft/Laminar Research folder of X-Plane 11.

14. Load X-Plane 11 and you will see your 787. at this point you will not see and liveries.

15. Select the 787 icon and the airport of your choice.

16. when loaded select view circle so that you can see the liveries of the plane.

17 go to the main menu and select developer/regenerate icons for the current aircraft. this will load all the liveries that you have and next time you load X-Plane 11 you can then change the liveries as you wish.

18. That's it everything should work now. It does on mine.

MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A COPY BEFORE DOING ANYTHING, MAKE SURE YOU USE PLANE MAKER FOR X-PLANE 10 . IF YOU DO THIS IN PLANE MAKER 11 AND YOU HAVE NOT MADE A COPY YOUR AIRCRAFT WILL NOT WORK IN X-PLANE 11 OR X-PLANE 10

if you have any issues or not sure let me know.

Regards.
