I am trying to install X-Plane 10 from the DVD. Disk 1 loads properly and then prompts to load disk 2, but when I insert disk 2 into the drive, it is not recognized by the installer, and the Windows explorer app opens up showing the  contents of disk 2. I have used the installer on the DVD, as well as the new installer downloaded from Laminar's web site.

Thank you.

Have you ever used this set of DVD's before?  Maybe there are fingerprints or smudges on Disc 2.  You might try cleaning the DVD.  Sometimes it takes 20-30 seconds for the installer to recognize a disc.
