I'm at my wits end trying to get the Saitek Throttle Quadrant working with X-plane (or FSX for that matter).  So, is there one that simply works with X-Plane fresh out of the box?  I'm really fed up with the quadrant not working, especially since it seems to calibrate just fine, and appears to go thru its full motion when testing it in the calibration app, or Windows joy.cpl program.
Basically while trying to use it while flying, moving the throttle or mixture levers just causes the levers in the game to jump around.  To add to the strangeness, it actually worked fine when I first hooked it up, but then it proceeded to not work when I quit X-Plane and went back to play it.  I've tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling, but to no avail.

Hi chopperjeff,

There are hundreds of flightsimmers who use the Saitek products.

Have you downloaded the latest drivers and or software updates from this website at  http://www.saitek.com/uk/down/drivers.php

Don't rely on the software that was supplied with the product as it will be out of date irrespective when you purchased the throttles. Hopefully they have now updated the software to cover X-Plane 11.

This was the message I was given from X-Force PC, the recommended company by Laminar Research, for the supply of PCs in the USA.  If you carefully look at the YouTube videos produced by Michael at XForce PC he uses the Saitek Throttles exclusively.  More so since the release of X-Plane 11 (all versions still in Beta Format). The link is at https://www.youtube.com/user/col2mab/videos?sort=dd&view=0&shelf_id=0

Hope this helps.

Glenn

Thank you for the reply.
I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers a while ago from the link you provided, and they have not worked for me.  As for the other link you provided, it appears that there is indeed a person who has successfully used the Saitek products, which is great, but that just adds to the frustration for me, as in...how is it he can have such great success with this product, and yet, I cannot get it to work for the life of me?  I remember a while ago I had this same product working with FSX and Windows 7, and thus am now wondering if it's a Windows 10 problem.
I'm tempted to install Linux, and see if it works with that.
Again, thank you for the input, but I am at the point where I'm willing to chuck all this hardware out the window if I could simply get something that just works with X-Plane and/or FSX!  Seems to me it HAS TO BE something within the application that is the issue, as the darn thing works fine in all the calibration and test programs.

Hi,

Throttle, Mixture always comes back to center. Works fine in setting of X-Plane but not with an airplane.

Data shown on screen shows what I see: it moves but quickly returns to center. With a Xplane plane or SR20

Windows 10 64 drivers up to date.
