Can I still get x-plane 10 global

I am about to purchase the dvd version of X-Plane 10 global, but I have really bad Wifi.  Will I need wifi to download anything?

You will not need WiFi if you buy a dvd version of X-Plane 10 Global. More about installing X-Plane you can find on this webpage http://www.x-plane.com/manuals/desktop/#preparationandinstallation.
