Cannot find log.txt file

I cannot find the log.txt file. I have a dell inspiron 15 computer. Please help me.Do tell me how to find the log.txt file. Also, what are it's utilities?

the log.txt file is very useful when you want to know what file is missing, what plugin is not loaded properly. in other words, for debugging purpose and to help you keep your copy as clean as possible.

You can find log.txt in your installation folder. By default X‑Plane will install to the Desktop. Though it can be installed elsewhere, it is strongly recommended that it be placed on the Desktop so that it can be found in the future.
