I installed X-Plane 11 off a disk version, the installation crashed on Disk 4

Question

The program installed ok, and I was able to upgrade and go thru the training. But when I add additional scenery [such as my hometown, KDSM] it asks for disk 4 and stops - spins and spins or does nothing at all. I think disk 4 maybe defective. My PC is newer [i7 16GB RAM, 8 GB GPU] and doesnt have issues with any other disks, plus I used an external DVD drive and have the same issue

If you insert disc 4 into your DVD drive, what happens? Are you able to open it with the file explorer? If so, please try copying all the files off of it to the desktop. Does that work?
