Hi,

So I recently downloaded my 4th DLC aircraft, and now I'm being told to run the installer and update the game because it can't find the file 'Cessna 172SP' and that it's needed for the tutorial. First off, that isn't true. When I look in the "Aircraft' then 'Laminar Research' folder, it clearly shows it with all of its files intact. Another strange thing is that it lets me open the 172 in the plane maker thingy, so it CLEARLY is working. The only mod that could have affected it is the Reality Expansion Pack from the .org store, but it was running fine before. The aircraft I just installed was the C404 Titan (also from the .org store). Do you have a fix?

Thanks,

Lucas

Try verifying the game files on Steam:

  1. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
  2. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files... button.
  3. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
I believe this is the Steam version of using the LR installer to update and make sure default files haven't been modified.
