Why does XP 11 ground & sky colors look so dull ?, at least 8 out of 10 people I know always upon first look of XP 11 always asks this question, using ReShade brings out the colors alot, but stock XP 11 looks to have a filter over it, shouldn't the ground & sky textures have more of a vibrant look ??.

Hi, this is an interesting debate, and as a private pilote, I will give my opinion :
With Reshade, X-plane 11 looks beautiful.
Without Reshade, X-plane 11 default looks more realistic.
Very often, on a sunny day, even with a nice blue sky, the visibility is quite poor. Especially when facing the sun.

It's actually very rare to have a clear sky with a visibility of more than 30 kilometers.

Moreover, the ground looks most of the time like a grey and dark mass.

It is important to keep one thing in mind. When we see an aerial picture, it's been taken in the best conditions, at low altitude, and very often the contrast and the colours have been improved afterwards.

I can see your point with realistic haze, and even haze on a clear day it's still present, but this is something different, I cannot explain it, it's almost a slight brownish look ??, having flown many times myself, this just does not look realistic, maybe switch to a slight greyish blueish tint, as I said very hard to explain this look they came up with.

Maybe you can present screen shots for both variants?
