Tried to edit Cessna 172SP instrument panel using Plane Maker.  The 2D and 3D panel edit screen does not reflect the current default panel and when tried to add an instrument the new instrument does not show in simulator

Please provide instructions on adding or replacing instruments to panel.

Is there a way to add or replace the DG with HSI?

Hi Mike,

I am not with Laminar Research or Sim Innovations (Air Manager); just a flight simmer from down under.

Forget about trying to modify the instrument panel.  Build your own to meet your needs.  Have a look at the link for Air Manager at https://www.siminnovations.com/#g-utility  I am sure this will more than meet your needs.

Also have a look at the link by Ross Barlow at https://www.youtube.com/user/srbarlow/videos  Ross has been doing a lot of work in the development of version 3 of Air Manager.

For another perspective have a look at a link for Michael Brown at https://www.youtube.com/user/col2mab/videos  Michael is also the owner of XforcePC, the recommended PC supplier in the USA  by Laminar Research.  Michael has produced a number of YouTube videos utilising Air Manager.

Good luck

Glenn

Hi Glenn:  Thank you for the tip on Air Manager.  I’ve looked into the capabilities and are very impressed with what it can do, especially with running additional panel on iPAD.

Thank you for your help and answering my questions.
