Apologies for responding without an answer. I hope you will not mind my tagging on to your question. I am using X-Plane 10 on Windows 10 and it works, for the most part. In my case, the ATC function will not work and I cannot file flight plans. Additionally, custom scenery from the scenery gateway does not show in the simulation. I've downloaded 6-8 scenery packages and none make any difference in the appearance of airports.
I posted to AvSim with these issues and received contradictory responses; that X-plane 10 will not work on Windows 10 and other responses that X-plane works fine on that OS.
