I have been trying to load it on my machine for 10 hours today.Can not get it to run I have tried to clean install but I get a message that i have another version which I do not. I tried to load it as a second copy still no luck I tried to repair no luck.So far I am not impressed with your product and ideas???

I'm completely frustrated with X Plane.  If I make a mistake programming the FMS, I find no where to delete entries.  I can't just start over, it won't let me, so every time I make an error, which being new, is frequent, I have to quit the sim, restart it and ask for a new flight.  What kind of idiots miss such simple solutions for equally simple problems?  The save flight feature is just weird.  This is the most qwerky sim I've ever bought.  I see why they call it the sim for nerds.

Patience and open-mindedness is key, my friend! Please do not jump to conclusions so quickly. Why judge a simulator so harshly that you haven't even been able to try yet?

As a long time FSX and X-Plane 10 user, I assure you that when it comes to flying aircraft, X-Plane takes the prize. X-Plane simulates aircraft much more accurately and realistically than FSX, so I wouldn't call it a "piece of S***." if you will. I am not affiliated with Laminar Research, so I am not obligated to say this, but having extensive experience using both flight simulators, I assure you that if you give X-Plane patience and some devotion, you can get a lot more out of it than FSX.

So, if you would reconsider, I would be happy to try and assist with your loading issue. To do so, I would like a little more information, so I need you to go into your main "X-Plane 10" folder (it should be located on your desktop), and look for a file called log.txt. Please upload that file to your post so I (or someone else) can have a look at it. Thank you.

Patience if trying to load your product for 10.5 hours is not having Patience then I don't know what is!! I have uninstalled it at this point. I will try one more time and look for the file you want me to. And by the way I have a computer science degree so I'm not the average user. It keeps telling me I have another copy of x - plane which I do not. I went right to the program files to look for a copy and it's not on this computer. Also, I run windows 10 is that the problem?

@Larry

First, thank you for the log.txt.

Second, by "patience" I did not meant "let it load". Evidently, in your situation, it was not going to load. I meant be patient in either me or a more respectable member of the community answering you as to try and solve your problem.

Third, the "another copy of X-Plane is installed" issue likely stems from the product key still being in your registry, while the program files are no longer on your system. The only thing that really matters is that registry key.

*I am looking into the location. Keep in mind I am NOT affiliated with Laminar Research. It is not my product, but I am still trying to help.

Even if he got the game to load, the experience would be bad due to his computer specs (AMD CPU only at 2 ghz and a AMD HD Integrated GPU) That's why people should read the requirements especially for a 64 bit game

Alright, you mentioned that you "had" a second copy installed. It should tell you where it's located and thus you can delete it. What exact message are you getting?  "You have a second copy installed, etc. Upload a screenshot so I can see what issue you are having. Also you have only 16 gb of space left on your hard drive (total install space is 70 gb). Lets start there.
