version 11.1 won't recognize my version 11 registration key

Question

I received the 'new version available' message for v11.1 when starting my v11 system.

The new version number is 11.01r2 (build 110102 64 bit)

After downloading, and installing, it I get a popup on start up asking for my serial number.

I tried both automatic and manual modes to enter it, but the popup never goes out.

Please try pasting it in the entry box and see if that works

Yes. I tried that a few times before I wrote to you.

The only thing that happened was that the entry line background changed from white to a light blue. I'm referring to the place where you type in the address.

I tried manually typing it and pasting it from the email I received.
