"Permission Denied. Perhaps you do not have access to a directory or file system" while attempting 11.10 beta install.

Question

Windows 10.  X-Plane folder is on the desktop.  installer is latest version.  Getting "There was a problem updating x-plane.  The technical problem was:  Permission Denied.  Perhaps you do not have access to a directory or file system.  Any ideas or workarounds?

Check your folder permissions and/or move your X-Plane folder to another location. You can read more about file and folder permissions here.

Thank you.    I have tried that.   Moved folder from C drive to desktop (and back) several times.   Changed permissions.   Each time install halts with same error message.   I am stumped.

Please attach a copy of the installer log.txt from the desktop (and the X-Plane log.txt from the X-Plane folder).
