Selecting/eliminating airports in xplane 10

Question

I only have two sections in the north east usa selected in scenery. Can find airport to choose in those areas. Dont want all the other airports somhow specifically do i eliminate allthe extra airports?

Im a senior with a major knowledge of computers, but inguess im getting a bit slow, so please be specific

I do not know of any way to completely remove the other airports from X-Plane. In X-Plane 11 you can filter the list by city and state if you don't know the specific name or code of the airport you want.
