I use X-Plane 1 & WingX 7 Pro, how can I prevent the aircraft position jumping from X-Plane to GPS position?

I use X-Plane 11 on a Mac installed from DVDs and an iPad Mini running WingX7 Pro.  Even though I have GPS position deselected, the shown position jumps between X-Plane 11 position and actual GPS position.  How can I prevent this jumping?
