I'm trying to design a plane that sort of looks like a 1909 Wright Flyer but it is basically a bi-plane pusher Cub.  It has one engine (centered and ahead of the wing LE) driving two fixed pusher propellers.  When I try to fly the plane in X-Plane it says that a Mics Body has no frontal area and refuses to fly.

I've also noticed that although there is a place to note what kind of engine there is no way to locate it forward of the "transmission" (which is not a conventional transmission but is really just smaller sprockets driving chains going to larger sprockets bolted to the props.)  I also haven't figured out how to locate the crew on the LE of the lower wing, make a fuselage that is only a truss work with no skin.  Manual isn't too useful for this kind of design.

Any ideas?

Hi Zot,

For the issue with the misc. body, do you have anything defined in that window? If you don't think you should, you might need to check it and make sure nothing got changed/added by accident.

If you don't have the capabilities to design something you need (like the engine in front of the transmission), you can file a feature request on the bug reporter and it might be added in the future.
