Hi currently I've got 11.20b5 version and when I try to update it to latest version the updater failed (see the attached screenshot)

I've tried open it as an admin. Also I've tried to change all my windows security antivirus off and also take a full control on security settings on my hardrive, of course in my X-Plane folder.

What is wrong here?

Thanks.

X-Plane 11/Resources/default data/CIFP/EIDW.dat was the file which is causing the problem.

I've had the same problem when trying to update to v11.25 - it either gets as far as "Downloading patch info from Highwinds CDN" or times out.

Here are the last few lines of the installer log:

0:00:00.011 D/WIZ: Starting installer... opening wizard step "Main Menu - Web Update"

0:00:00.033 I/DST: Updater selected installation /Volumes/EDD Hadfield/X-Plane 11/

0:00:02.836 D/WIZ: Advancing from wizard step "Welcome" to "Check Servers"

0:00:33.388 E/NET: Download failed with error: 28 for URL http://cds.n3w4x3c2.ssl.hwcdn.net/X-Plane%2011.25r2/directory.txt.zip

Solved. Just I've removed X-Plane 11/Resources/default data/CIFP folder and it works

I also got a 403 (denied) error when installing - I removed the CIFP folder and was able to bring up x-plane with no apparent problem, but what are the implications of removing this folder? Is it truly not needed? -- thanks!
