How can I install plugins / addons to X-plane 11 DVD edition for a Mac?

I am planning on buying X-plane 11, but first I want to know how could I be able to instal plugins / addons to the DVD version in a Mac

Once X-Plane is installed, everything works the same way--it does not matter if it was installed with DVDs or digital  download.
