I am trying to update x-plane 11 on Windows. I have installed the latest installer, turned off firewall and antivirus but keep getting the same error message - Únable to open a .zip file. It may be corrupt or damaged.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but now I am only able to run the original DVD version. It looks like it is on the CDN side, Is anyone else finding this issue?

I’ve been having issues for a few days trying to download this update. Keeps saying I don’t have access to certain files. I’m certain they’re aware of these problems and are gonna correct it ASAP. There seems to be a good amount of us who are experiencing this.

Please upload a copy of the installer log.txt from the desktop from after seeing this issue. You will need to use a file sharing site and provide a link to the document.

Hi,

Below is the error message I am receiving from the log file. To me this looks like it is unable to open the file on the server side.

SOLVED!!

K9 web protection was blocking the file download. I have had K9 installed for years and this is the first time I have had this issue. Xplane has previously updated without issue.

We have seen enough reports of this same issue that we are trying to investigate it more. Can you turn K9 back on, then use the installer from this zip download to try it again? Please email the installer log.txt to bugreports [at] x-plane.com.
