Hi
I have new pedals, throttle and a joystick from ch products. I recently bought a new iMac with latest el capitan installed. I am running the digtal version of xp 10.42r1 (i suggest). Every time I fire up XP my three usb devices are recognized by osx itself but not in xp, there is no response and in the calibration menu I can see no movement of all axis. I have to unplug/plug in all 3 devs and calibrate them freshly. Then they work as exepected until the next start of Xp and the same procedure again.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem--unable to use CH Eclipse Yoke because the Yoke setup page in X-Plane is blank and no yoke controls can be assigned. Without the yoke, both keyboard and mouse controls are erratic and/or not accessible . I'm running MacOS 10.11.2 (El Capitan) and X-Plane 10.42r1 (digital download). The yoke lights up and is recognized in the Mac system report as drawing 32mA with 1000mA available on the USB powered hub. Deleting preferences, unplugging then replugging the yoke while X-Plane is running and a full re-install of X-Plane did not change anything.

Just to let you updated: Today I updated to el capitan release 10.11.2 and same behaviour.

Same for me.  I have another thread on this in this forum but no helpful answer yet.

X-plane never sees the Joystick.  The Eclipse Yoke appears in the USB hardware list of the OS but never in X-Plane, I can't even calibrate.  Tried restarting X-plane, the computer. plugging/unplugging the yoke in every combination (before starting XP, after starting XP, before starting the computer etc...)

Just to let you updated: Same behaviour now also in 10.45b1.

Hi mondkalb,

This sounds like a bug report. Please contact me directly at [email protected]. There are some tests to try and questions we have.

1. Can you reproduce this behavior w/ a single device? I.E., just the joystick?

2. When are you unplugging the devices? After you have already started X-Plane? Then you also plug them back in while it is still running and they work then?

I've sent you this directly as requested, but for the forum:

1. Can you reproduce this behavior w/ a single device? I.E., just the joystick?

Yes, multiple times each with joystick, with throttle and with the pedals. Each test was done with  a single device and was plugged in before booting up the iMac. Same with all three devices connected.

2. When are you unplugging the devices? After you have already started X-Plane? Then you also plug them back in while it is still running and they work then?

Yes, XP is running and then no input device is working, then I unplug the devices (single/multiple) and plug them in again and I have to calibrate, but all devices are working after they plugged in. Interesting is that in the devices menu of xp you see grey line with the proposed axes (plural of axis?), but the axis do not show red or green. In some cases they arent shown. That will be restored by plug out/in again. The appear then.

Same behaviour as mentioned in comment from DrBen (above). I see the same values and amperes in system report.
