Activation code requires with disc version ?

Cannot run the disc version of X-Plane 10 Global because it is asking for an Activation code once the sim is loaded. Disc 1 is inserted but does not cure the problem. It has worked OK before but has suddenly started to ask for the activation code which I have not got with the disc version. Please help.

Since you used the term "activation code" and not product key (the term we use for our digital download code) I wonder if it's an issue with a plane. Are you trying to use a payware plane that came with a code to unlock it? Please attach a copy of your log.txt and a screen shot of the message.

I purchased the two disk dvd version of this product. It asks me to put in the product key or the disk to run in DEMO mode.  Is a product key necessary to run the game? If so how do I get it? Is the product key only for digital down load?

Yes, the product key is only for digital download copies. It is a separate product and requires a separate purchase. If you have a two DVD set you probably have a regional edition. You will need to keep DVD 1 in the disc drive at all times to stay out of demo mode.
