Can I sync mobile purchases between iOS and Android?

I have both iOS and Android devices.  I've purchased a number of planes on X-Plane for iOS.  Can these be synced to my X-Plane for Android, and vice versa?

I don't think they can as they are tied to the ID you use in each store--they're tied to your Apple ID and not to a Google Play Store ID.
