Why does the x plane 10.51 autopilot do not listen to me?

hi!

When I set autopilot in the 747 to vert spd 1000 and altitude to 27000, It suddenly starts spinning and crashes.

Can anyone help me?

Make sure you have the F/D switches on. Their located on either side of the autopilot panel. Also make sure the autopilot is actually on. On the 747, there's three identical buttons on the top right hand corner of the autopilot panel. Hope this helps.
