Can I use the X-Plane 11 digital download Key on both a Windows 10 Desktop and a MacBook Pro?

I want to be able to install X-Plane 11 on my gaming Windows 10 desktop and a new MacBook Pro I'm getting for travel. Can I use one digital download key for both computers?

Could you tell me how X-Plane 11 performs on a MacBook Pro( 2015 version) ? I'm afraid the laptop can't run it well.

I'm a Windows user so I might not be the right one to tell,but as far as I've read in forums, PC has better performance (with the right setup of hardware). On the Mac world is less "customizable" than a PC environment. Nevertheless both are good with the right hardware. I consider gaming notebooks better hardware than MBP.
