Xplane 11 acts like time acceleration is always on

Question

All the aircraft in xplane 11 uses fuel at an extraordinary rate! Default 172 is something like 6 min for full fuel. Clocks in the aircraft run at normal speed.

I am beginning to think it's some sort of copy protection and that somehow my key registration is not working correctly. I do not use XP much, about once a week and everytime I start it it asks to verify my key and it says it is ok.

Running the latest version. How do I fix this?!?

Make sure there aren't any failures enabled (try the "fix all systems" button). Something like a fuel leak could cause fuel to run out quickly. The nuclear option is to remove all addons and reset preferences to default and see if it still happens.

Found the issue last night. My 'flight models per frame' was set to 4, when I moved it to the max setting this problem went away. Bug possibly?
