Why can't I get full power

Question

I fly the C172 but when I go full throttle for takeoff I get good static RPM but very little thrush. Brakes are not applied. No failure scenarios active. I can't lift off without stalling.

Sounds like resetting to default preferences fixed it. Another option if something "inexplicable" happens again is to rename or move the preferences folder. If that fixes it, you can compress & send the old, broken prefs via the bug reporter for us to investigate further.
