I have 2 issues, probably very simple to resolve... but I am out of ideas!

The first is that I am stuck on full screen mode on my iMac 27" - how can I get back to a small window?

The 2nd, and most important - all aircraft that I have loaded appear to show only the top-half of the cockpit!  Is there a way to zoom out (I have tried the = & - with no joy) so that I can see ALL the cockpit controls?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi Phil,

Go into the rendering settings screen and uncheck the box near the top "run full-screen at this resolution". That should get you back to windowed mode. If that box is not checked, then try to use your mouse to pull the corners or edges of the screen to a smaller window. If that still didn't work, the green arrow to enlarge the screen was clicked by accident. That is currently a bug in that you can only recover from that by going to the output folder -> preferences -> & delete the X-Plane Screen Res.prf file. Next time you start X-Plane that will be reset as a window.

In 2D cockpit view, you can only move the view up and down. Try 3D view (shift + 9), then use the period & comma keys to move in and out. You can make that your default view in rendering options by clicking the button for "forward view with 3d cockpit".

Hi and thank you SO much for your response!  All is now well :-)

I would like to add that the green arrow/button was clicked most deliberately because I wanted 'full-screen'.  It can only be considered an accident if it was made absolutely clear that clicking it causes an irreversible action with the application - which is not the case.

You are correct that it should not be an "irreversible action"--we are aware that this behavior is a bug and will be working on a fix for it in a future update.

It wasn't meant to be a criticism JR, and I'm sure you will!  Keep up the good work!
