Update of digital download X-Plane 11 on Windows 10: "Couldn't resolve host name" returned by "X-Plane 11 Installer.exe" (v 4.0.2.1). All Q & A entries on this error are set to "Resolved", but no entry shows how I can fix this. Tried Update from X-Plane 11 start AND manually by starting "X-Plane 11 Installer.exe" (v 4.0.2.1) as administrator.

What country / state are you located in? I'm seeing a lot more complaints of this but have not been able to reproduce it myself.

Attach a copy of the installer log.txt from the desktop. 

You may need a newer version: current version should be 4.02r2. Also check your internet connection and make sure the firewall isn't preventing access.
