How can I get lost on purpose?

I want to place myself in an area I don't know and try to use VOR's to discover where I am.

Hi Aaron,

What I understand you want is as follows:-

Start X-Plane 11 > select a new flight > flight config > on RHS select the "customise" tag > under location select "Special Starts" (LHS of screen) > select "Get me lost" (bottom of list on LHS under Airport Name.

thank you! I tried it and it put me at 13,000 feet! that worked.
