how do I play the demo version?

I have loaded the demo on my imac. I do not yet have a joystick but I want to try out the software to check that it will run on my machine, using the mouse and keyboard.

After 15mins I got a message obscuring the scene and saying saying it will ignore my mouse.

I understood that the demo should allow me to fly out of Seattle only, using the mouse.

Another part of the demo's DRM is that it will lock joystick function and put the popup on screen after 15 minutes. In order to fly longer than 15 minutes or install scenery aside from KSEA, you'll need to purchase the full sim.
