as you can see it wants to have me file a flight plan but I've already filed one and clicked on file and this is the result. Dave

Hi Dave,

My guess would be that the airport you're using doesn't have ATC. Non-towered airports won't be able to use a flight plan, even if you've filed it correctly. Try using a larger airport with ATC or filing a pop up clearance to try approaches.

Yeah you were right, I was flying from non towered airports. Thx Dave. Very new to X Plane. Have many questions and still learning the Q & A format.
