Hi everyone,

I received a Saitek Pro flight Yoke and Throttle quadrant recently, and have been trying to set it up.  My attempts have failed.  Besides the controls setup to control the aircraft, i am not able to get a good view.  What i would like to be able to do is to have my TV (connected to my laptop) display only the scenery that the pilot can see, then i would like to use my Laptop and/or iPad to show all of the flight instruments.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance,

Kind Regards,

Ross

P.S. I got my inspiration from this from a professional flight simulator that i visited 1 year ago, I have read online that my setup is possible, but have not been able to find a guide on how to do it.

Hi Ross,

its impossible to tell what went wrong from a distance. Setting up joystick and throttle is usually very easy, you just go to the correct menu, observe which axis moves when you move your joystick, and then assign that axis the correct function.

As to your view-setup, it is not that easy to do, maybe ask the question at the correct forum at X-Plane.org? Many knowledgable people there.

Good luck, Jan

Hi Jan,

Thanks for your response, I checked out those forums, but I am not able to post to them yet.    If anyone can help me on here it would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

Hi Ross,

There are many pieces of information on this site, such as this one, where setting up more than one monitor is discussed. Try searching for "multi-monitor" or IOS (instructor operating station).

There is also a section in the manual for setting up X-Plane's IOS on two monitors.
