scenery sometimes missing at destination airport

Question

If I choose to fly into an airport on a 10nm approach set by xplane 11, the airport tarmac runway and other scenery appears correctly. However, if I fly to the same airport after a one hour flight, for example, the runway is displayed as grass and other scenery is missing. The problem affects all airports attempted.

Grateful to hear what the cause of the fault may be.

Did you solve this?   I just downloaded a new airport and am experiencing the exact same problem.  I can do touch and go's and the scenery works just fine.  But when I try to fly to the airport vfr from 30 miles away when I arrive all I find is the base autogen mesh.
