why does x-plane cost more on steam than on x-plane.com?

buy on x-plane.com costs 59.90, but on steam it is 69.90. from which source is it more convienient to buy from?

Hi Leopold,

Buy and support the original developers of the software ie Laminar Research.

Steam is a 3rd party company taking a commercial advantage of X-plane and having done none of the research and or development in creating X-plane..  There is no commercial relationship between either company.  Laminar Research does not support Steam

You will get more support from Laminar Research.  This forum is the dedicated LR site whereas Steam users do try to raise their problems
