Firstly I am not associated with Laminar Research or any other 3rd party company I mention below; just a flight simmer.
The latest officially released version of X-Plane is 11.05. Version 11.10 (eleven point ten) is still in development stage and any releases are beta versions for debugging purposes by experienced flight simmers. When will it be officially released? Who knows.
At a recent Flight simmers convention in the USA, Laminar Research gave a presentation which included an announcement that VR was being considered for XP11.10
In the meantime I have found this site at https://www.youtube.com/user/BambinoBlog/videos whereby XP will operate under VR situations. You will need to acquire an addon package. If you trawl back through some of the videos you will find the video providing the information on how and what to do. You will possibly need to go back somewhere in the order of 5 months to find the video. Some of the XPlane videos are lengthy but memory tells me the required video is approximately 10 to 15 minutes in length.
