X-Plane program not in the X-plane 11 folder

Question

X-Plane ran OK yesterday, I downloaded the latest upgrade to 11-10, It ran VERY slowly, so I quit and restarted it once, and it seemed OK. Today it says my X-plane.exe is not in the X-plane 11 folder. I moved nothing. What has happened?

From Bill, I reran the installer and this problem (wrong folder) went away. But now I get a warning on rendering options set too high.......never had that with 11-05RC2. How can I regress back to that?
