iMac ejects disk nr. 1

Question

The cd drive in my iMac ejects disk nr. 1 shortly after inserting.
Works fine with windows 7.
Further to this it seems impossible to use hat switch on a logitech to move around in the cocpit

Please clean the disc thoroughly to make sure there is no debris on it before inserting it into the drive. I believe each direction on a hat switch needs to be assigned to a command in order to function. Follow the directions in this section of the manual to set up each view you'd like to use (each direction on the hat switch corresponds to a new button assignment).
