HUD Disappears from X-Plane 10.51

Question

My HUD has disappeared from my copy of X-Plane 10.51. The "Forward view with HUD" is the same as "forward view'. The only time I actually have a HUD is when I fly the occasional fighter jet that comes with a HUD built into the 3D Cockpit. Any Ideas? Thank you!

PS: I'm using a MacBook Pro 2012, Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB, Core i5, 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

I did not see this when I tried it. Using the C172 I got a HUD when I change the view to "Forward with HUD" from the view menu.

What changes have you made to X-Plane lately? Have you added any plugins or add ons? They could be overwriting a setting or changing the view.
